About Us
Since 1966, the Western Dairyland Head Start program has been preparing young children ages three to five to succeed in school and beyond in Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson, and Trempealeau counties. The Early Head Start program for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women was added in September 2015. Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote children's development through services that support early learning, health, and family well-being. Learn more about Head Start.

A huge thank you to the Arcadia Police Department for spending time with our students today! 🚓🐾 Students had the opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat of a squad car, try on the officers’ heavy protective vests, and enjoy a special demonstration from K9 Officer Owen. The officers talked with students about the important work they do every day, how they help keep our community safe, and the valuable role K9 officers play in law enforcement. One of our favorite moments was hearing the officers share that “visiting and interacting with students is their favorite part of the job.” We are incredibly grateful to the officers who took time out of their day to build positive relationships with some of our youngest learners. Experiences like these help children feel connected to and supported by the people who serve our community every day!
