About Us
Since 1966, the Western Dairyland Head Start program has been preparing young children ages three to five to succeed in school and beyond in Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson, and Trempealeau counties. The Early Head Start program for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women was added in September 2015. Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote children's development through services that support early learning, health, and family well-being. Learn more about Head Start.

A healthy child is a child who is ready to learn! Head Start requires all students have an annual health check-up but we know finding affordable health care can be hard. That's where our wonderful community partner, St. Clare Health Mission comes in. The mobile clinic parked at our Head Start Center and opened its doors to anyone who needed a health exam. We are incredibly grateful for all of our community partners. Working together to strengthen all families!
